🦇 Welcome to my lair!
Name's Mandy, recently earned my third X. I've been playing D&D for about seven years, DMing for the last four and exclusively in my homebrew setting. It is my ever-growing magnum opus, I care for it and the players attached to it very deeply. I've got material by the cartload: art, custom maps, music, plot hooks - you name it.
I'm a fan of roleplay, political intrigue, layered mysteries and horror. Dungeons are scarce in my world, though they are still featured as a nod to the source material.
Combat does not take place for the sake of it rather than because the story calls for it but by no means does this mean battle is negligible. When conflict crescendos, I tend to make it challenging so victories feel earned.
I do not play against my table, I play with my table and aim to tell the type of story I'd want to play in myself.
I'm an ADHD-powered machine of many projects. I have far too many digital art projects to count, webcomics in the works and I'm dreaming of one day developing a D&D style dating sim. I used to do a lot of video editing and I still dabble sometimes.
I'm also practicing tattooing at home, on my own, going through excessive amounts of fake skins and unsuspecting fruit... (Sounds horrible, I know! It is! I hate every second of it! Let alone the fruit!)
And to answer your burning question - yes, I'm actually, definitely a goth girl all the way and of the finest flavor.
Eternally looking for people who can match my freak 🤠
Campaign Details ⁀➷
At the core of it, this is a dark fantasy / gothic horror game that is also a love story. At the very least, the love story of Dalanbar & I.
I aspire for my sessions to strike just the right balance between relaxed and immersive. I wouldn't call myself a beer & pretzels DM but I tend to allow (and join in) with the occasional shitposting intermezzo. Overall however I tend to run a tight ship.
This project being my hyperfixation also means that I get really into it and I aim to choose players who seek the same things out of play. I'd like to say I cultivate an environment that rewards enthusiastic roleplay and investment in the various plots that may come about.
I won't beat anyone over the head with my lore, though! The baseline is all accessible here, and during character creation we go over all additional background information on a need to know basis. Players often get to learn about the world as we go along, no one's expected to start out an expert on history or notable figures.
Not looking for more Opeian adventurers at the moment.
You are of course still welcome to inquire about custom games!
Please note that themes of this campaign may be triggering to some individuals. For each campaign a lines and veils system is in place and a table-wide RPG consent checklist is compiled from everyone's fade to black content and hard limitations.
Code of Conduct
Many of these rules I almost always play with, but whenever a new table is rallied I always leave it up to the party to decide on the final set of rules that they all feel comfortable with and enthusiastic about. Below you can find the standard set of adjustments I strongly suggest for a campaign ran by yours truly:
Ability scores
- A 30-point buy, with a maximum score of 16 before racial bonuses and a minimum score of 6.
- Rolling ability scores as described in the Player's Handbook (roll 4d6 and drop the lowest die.)
Bonus feat
Actor, Adept (Elemental, Eldritch, Metamagic), Athlete, Charger, Chef, Defensive Duelist, Dual Wielder, Dungeon Delver, Durable, Healer, Initiate (Artificer, Fighting, Magic), Inspiring Leader, Linguist, Medium Armor Master, Moderately Armored, Poisoner, Polearm Master, Ritual Caster, Savage Attacker, Skill Expert, Tavern Brawler.
Hit points
- If you roll a 1, you may reroll the die once and must use the new result.
- Once you roll for a level, you cannot instead take the average for that level.
- You may choose which method to use each time you gain a level.
Approved sources
Player's Handbook; Eberron: Rising from the Last War (excluding dragonmarked subraces); Elemental Evil Player's Companion; Fizban's Treasury of Dragons; Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica (excluding loxodon and vedalken); Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse (excluding githyanki, githzerai, and harengon); Mythic Odysseys of Theros; Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide; Tasha's Cauldron of Everything; Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft; Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
Homebrew content is not categorically banned but any such material must be reviewed and approved in advance. Please discuss your race, class, background, feats, and similar choices with me (the DM) before finalizing your character.
Resting
Flexible initiative
- If more than two players wish to do so, the party must decide which two may do so.
- This option is not available to NPC allies or enemies.
Variant critical hits
For example, a critical hit with a weapon that deals 1d8 damage and has a +4 modifier deals 8 + 1d8 + 4 damage.
Unarmed strikes
Spellcasting
This rule replaces the normal restriction on casting multiple leveled spells on the same turn and applies regardless of whether either spell uses an action or a bonus action.
Healing potions
Death saves
Resurrection
- A character can be successfully returned to life only once. Further attempts automatically fail
- Spells that restore life to a creature that has been dead for no longer than 1 minute, such as revivify, are exempt from this limitation.
Up for something new and unexpected?
This nifty little button I call the GenDie will spit out a new character at you, one click at a time. It generates race, class (complete with a subclass) and a stat array. What more could you possibly need to stump your creator's block?
If you hover over any score, you can view the individual die values!
Your Story Begins…
Every hero carries a past. Some find comfort in it, others are running from it. Below you can generate a background, complete with a homeland and burden for your character.
- Your background is .
- You are from .
- Your burden is that you .

As a reminder, these are paid games - to participate, your seat must be paid for at least an hour before the session takes place. My base rate for custom games is 30 per player per session.
Session 0 counts as a paid session and always takes place, whether at the start as a group or 1 on 1 for those joining later on. If after Session 0 you elect not to continue, you do not need to pay anything.
